    Letter of reflection

    To Ms. Newman,

Throughout this class I have learned a lot. Particularly I have learned to write very strong theses and how to actively read. Although, there is a lot I can improve on in my writing. Firstly, I have to use more academic writing. Next, I have to learn how to write more specific theses. Some of the good things that I do are my organization of my paragraphs and how my conclusions. At this point in this class, I would give myself a B+ in this class.

    Sincerely,
    Mohammed Hoque

    Feedback questions

    What did you do well?
I used strong information to support the Cat's Cradle section of my essay.

What do you need to work on?
I did not use enough information to sufficiently address my thesis on the A Clockwork Orange section of my essay.

How you will use this knowledge to strengthen future essays?
I have to put the same amount of effort on both sides of my essay and I have to see both
    sides of my thesis.

What grade would you have given yourself?
I would give myself a B- for this assignment.

    What questions do you have?
How can I improve my thesis further?

Active reading is a very powerful tool when reading any type of writing. One of the ways I read academically is by highlighting key words and terms as I read by them. Next I write summaries of what I have read in the margin(for important paragraphs). Prior to last weeks class, I did not read actively and now that I do I see a big difference in my comprehension level in the readings.
